GRANT, CONTRACT, LOAN AND PERMIT ASSISTANCE
Every year, California offers some
$15 million in grants for cities and counties for asphalt rubber projects, local government tire pile cleanups,
tire amnesty day events, and tire
storage enforcement activities. In addition, local jurisdictions and
school districts and park districts are eligible for grants to purchase all
forms of tire-derived products, such as synthetic turf, rubber mulch, playground covers and
the like. For a reasonable fee, TL & Associates' president, Terry Leveille, has written numerous
successful grants for local jurisdictions.
Terry's policy is that he will
not charge a fee for his work if the grant applicant does not receive funding.
With a subscription to California
Tire Report, TL & Associates alerts private sector tire businesses to
the state's low-interest (4% currently) tire equipment loan program and the only
tire recycling grant programs that directly assist businesses--the Tire
Business Assistance Program.
Deciding where to site a facility is
extremely important, not only because of differences in waste tire availability,
tip fees, and markets, but also because there can be economic advantages to
locating in Enterprise Zones and/or Recycling Market Development Zones.
TL & Associates has professional expertise and experience in developing
and writing tire recycling grant proposals and assisting with waste tire
facility permits.
